Depending on your address, the company that will provide your electric service could be different than what you would expect. Most of the residential addresses in Seymour and South Knoxville will be serviced by KUB, however the others are listed for your convenience.

To start new service with KUB you would call Customer Service at 865-524-2911. There is also a form that can be filled out to start/stop service at www.kub.org under the Residential tab.

To start new service with Alcoa Electric you must visit the business office at the Alcoa Municipal Building with all the information below.
- Bring two forms of valid identification (one must be a photo ID) and address of new location.
- If you are renting, a rent receipt or lease agreement is required. If you are the homeowner, we prefer that you bring in copies of your closing papers. All documents must reference the same individual signing up for service.
- To obtain service, the applicant will pay a service connect fee and a deposit. For residential customers, the deposit can be credited to your account if you pay your monthly utility bill on time consecutively for 12 months*.
- The deadline for same day service Noon (12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time).

The Sevier County Electric system requires each prospective customer requesting electric service to:
* Sign Sevier County Electric System’s standard application for service agreement.
* Post a deposit or acceptable guarantor’s agreement.
* Pay a service connection charge.
SCES requires all customers to pay a deposit before obtaining electrical service. Deposits are held as long as customer has active service. Deposits range from $100-$250.
